DIAGNOSIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DALAM MATERI BILANGAN BULAT DITINJAU DARI SELF CONCEPT MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 4 SINGKAWANG TENGAH
Abstract
This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. This research was conducted at SMPN 4 Singkawang Tengah with the research subjects were class VII students totaling 31 students. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the analysis of students' critical thinking skills in terms of mathematical self-concept in whole number material. Students who became research subjects were divided into three groups namely high, medium, and low groups. The results of this research are: 1) The ability to think critically in mathematics in whole number material for students with high mathematical self-concept can fulfill 4 indicators and enter at a high level. 2) Critical thinking skills in mathematics in whole number material for students with moderate mathematical self-concept in general are only able to fulfill 3 indicators, which are at a moderate level. 3) The ability to think critically in mathematics in whole numbers for students with low mathematical self-concept is only able to fulfill 2 indicators of critical thinking in mathematics, which is at a low level.
