Author Guidelines

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the Innovative Biology Education Journal (IBEJ) Author Guidelines before starting the submission process.

Manuscripts submitted to IBEJ should present original research or scholarly work within the scope of biology and biology education. Manuscripts should be written objectively, systematically, analytically, and descriptively.

Authors must use the official IBEJ manuscript template and follow the prescribed requirements for manuscript structure, formatting, tables, figures, citations, references, and publication ethics.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not simultaneously submitted to another journal.

Before submission, authors are encouraged to carefully check the manuscript for completeness, language accuracy, originality, consistency of citations and references, and compliance with the journal's requirements.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before completing your submission, please confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been previously published.
  • The manuscript is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript is within the focus and scope of the Innovative Biology Education Journal (IBEJ).
  • The manuscript has been prepared using the official IBEJ manuscript template.
  • The manuscript follows the required structure and formatting guidelines.
  • The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  • All authors and institutional affiliations have been correctly identified.
  • The corresponding author's email address is valid and active.
  • All tables and figures are properly numbered, titled, and cited in the manuscript.
  • All references cited in the manuscript are included in the reference list.
  • References follow the citation and reference style required by IBEJ.
  • All required supplementary files have been uploaded.
  • The manuscript has been checked for originality and plagiarism.
  • Ethical approval or an appropriate ethical statement has been provided where applicable.
  • The authors have read and agreed to the journal's publication ethics and copyright policies.
