Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics

The Proceeding of IJC-MaSTEd (International Joint Conference on Mathematics, Science, Technology, and Education) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent publication malpractice. This publication ethics statement is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Proceeding of IJC-MaSTEd are expected to adhere to ethical standards in scholarly publishing. Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Authors should accurately present their research findings and provide sufficient detail and references to permit replication. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation is unacceptable. All sources must be properly cited, and any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection, based solely on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the focus and scope of the proceedings.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submission for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and in improving the quality of submitted manuscripts through objective and constructive evaluation. Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit and must maintain the confidentiality of the review process.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism or substantial similarity with other published works, to the editors.

Peer Review Process

The Proceeding of IJC-MaSTEd applies a double-blind peer review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

Plagiarism and Originality

All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using appropriate plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or excessive similarity will be rejected. The acceptable similarity index is a maximum of 20%, excluding references.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the evaluation or interpretation of the manuscript. Conflicts of interest must be declared transparently.

Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with ethical standards and relevant regulations. Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.

The Proceeding of IJC-MaSTEd is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record and will take appropriate action in cases of suspected misconduct, including correction, retraction, or withdrawal of published articles when necessary.
